This vacation features the major sights, starting in Athens with its Acropolis and lively Plaka district dotted with cafés and archaeological findings. Discover Meteora with its extraordinary monasteries built on rock formations; ancient Delphi, site of the Delphic Oracle; and Olympia, site of the first Olympic Games. Your trip continues to the beautiful Greek island of Santorini where Captain Cousteau looked for the lost city of Atlantis. Enjoy this crescent-shaped island is the most precious gem of the Aegean Sea.

Day 1: Athens

Arrive in Athens, you will meet our local representative at the airport and be transferred to your hotel in Athens. Once you settle in, you are free to stroll, browse for curios and treasures, and perhaps dine at a cafe in the old Plaka district. Or, we will be pleased to arrange an optional Athens by Night tour, which includes a Greek dinner and musical entertainment. Overnight in Athens.

Day 2 : Half Day Sightseeing Tour Of Athens

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Our expert guides take you to see the center of the city. Constitution Square (Syntagma), the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier and the National Library. Driving down Herod Atticus Street, you will see the Evzones in their picturesque uniform and the Presidential Palace. On your way to the Acropolis you will see the Hadrian?s Arch, visit the Temple of Olympian Zeus and you will make a short stop at the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896. On the Acropolis, visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens; the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erectheion and finally "the harmony between material and spirit", the monument that "puts order in the mind", the Parthenon.

Day 3: Athens - Corinth Canal -  Mycenae - Olympia

In the morning you will join our organized 4 Days Mainland tour of Greece. Prehistory, the Classical period, Roman domination, the Byzantine Empire, the Crusades and Modern times. Greece through the centuries will unfold before you on this four day tour. Leave by the coastal road to the Corinth Canal (short stop). Drive on and visit the Theatre of Epidauros, famous for its remarkable acoustics. Then proceed to the town of Nauplion (short photo stop), drive on to Mycenae and visit the Archaeological Site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. Then depart for Olympia through Central Peloponnese and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. Overnight in Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games.

Day 4: Olympia - Delphi

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Then you will visit the Archaeological Site of Olympia famous with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, was one of the Seven Wonders, the Ancient Stadium and the Archaeological Museum. The best way to get the most out of your visit is to actually race in the stadium like the athletes used to do and feel the vibes! After visits you will be driven on through the plains of Eliad and Achaia until the magnificent bridge which is crossing the Corinthian Bay from Rion to Antirion. Pass by the picturesque towns of Nafpactos (Lepanto) and Itea. Finally, arrive in Delphi which was described as "the omphalos (navel) of the earth" and the centre of the universe by ancient Greeks. Stay overnight in Delphi.

Day 5: Delphi - Kalambaka 

Today you will begin the day with a visit to the Archaeological Site of Delphi settled at the foot of Mount Parnassos, within the angle formed by the twin rocks of the Phaedriades, lies the Pan-Hellenic sanctuary of Delphi, which had the most famous oracle of ancient Greece. According to mythology, it is here that the two eagles sent out by Zeus from the ends of the universe to find the navel of the world met. You will finish your sightseeing with the museum of Delphi and then continue to Kalambaka is a small town stated at the foot of the astonishing complex of Meteora, gigantic rocks host  the biggest and most important group of monasteries in Greece after those in Mount Athos. Stay overnight in Kalambaka.

Day 6: Meteora - Athens 

After breakfast you will visit some of Monasteries at Meteora*, among striking scenery, perched on top of huge rocks which seem to be suspended in mid-air, stand ageless Monasteries, where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art. These monasteries have been characterized by UNESCO as a unique phenomenon of cultural heritage and they form one of the most important stations of cultural map of Greece. After visits you will return to Athens in the evening. Stay overnight in in Athens.

*Dress Code: For visits to the monasteries, and museum ladies are required to wear skirts  and gentlemen need to be in long trousers.

Day 7: Athens - Santorini 

Today you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the port for your ferry to Santorini (the duration takes approximately 5 hours). Santorini is the most famous of Cycladic Islands with its gorgeous sandy beaches, architecture in white and blue, traditional lifestyle, folk music, warm, hospitable people and barren landscapes with isolated chapels. Upon arrival in Santorini, your driver will be waiting at the port for your hotel transfer. Overnight in Santorini.

You are free to explore Santorini has one of the stunning scenery on earth. Also considered to be the most sought after place for a romantic getaway in Greece  where you can enjoy exquisitely clear waters while perched on the rim of a massive active volcano in the middle of the sea.  Stay overnight in Santorini.

Day 9: Santorini

Free day in Santorini. We suggest you to explore the island’s towns: Firá, together with Oia, Imerovígli and Firostefáni located high above on a cliff, make up the so-called “Caldera’s eyebrow”, the balcony of Santorini, which offers an amazing view of the volcano.  Do not forget to treat your taste buds to some famous traditional products like cherry tomatoes, white egg plants, fava, caper and “hloró tyrí”, a special kind of fresh goat cheese found on the island. End the day with  some of the exceptional wines produced from grapes grown in the volcanic soil of the island! Stay overnight in Santorini.

Day 10: Santorini - Athens

Today you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the port for your ferry to Athens(the duration takes approximately 8 hours). Upon arrival you will be meet your driver at the port and transferred to your hotel or Athens airport according to yoru choice. End of services.

Is airfare included in programs? Can I book my international flight through you?

Our packages do not include airfare to/from the trip start point. You can purchase your airfare tickets through the internet or a wholesaler. By booking your own flight, you have more flexibility and control of your choices - in real time.

What type of accommodation do we use?

TSC Travel use hotels situated at excellent locations and close to all amenities. Room types range from double rooms to junior suites, depending on the package of choice. Amenities and facilities may differ from those in South America, North America, Australia or Malaysia.

What type of transportation is used on tours?

TSC Travel utilize a variety of transportation methods including public and private minivans, cars, coaches, trains, flights, ferries, boats, etc. We use whichever method provides travellers with the safest and most efficient transportation option.

Do you cooperate with travel agents?

Booking Conditions

Availability cannot be guaranteed until booked. We require a deposit payment at time of booking to secure your reservation. The deposit payment is payable by credit card or bank transfer.
 
Credit Card: For your protection, we need you to sign the credit card payment form upon receipt and return it with verification of legal identification (e.g. copy of your passport or driver’s license) after your credit card has been charged. We will inform you in advance of purchase of any credit card fees that may apply.
 
Bank transfer: Payment can be sent to our company bank accounts. Our representative will send you detailed information for the booking process including bank transfer details.  Please note our rates do not include the transfer costs of your bank or their agents. Please be sure that all costs paid additionally!
 
What is your cancellation policy?
All cancellations must be made in writing directly to TSC Travel. No responsibility is taken for cancellations of airfare, hotel bookings, or any other extra services which have been made directly by the client.The following scale of charges will apply when cancellation is notified for all land packages, tours and programs;
 
Prior to arrival:
Charge 60 days or more: 10% of selling price (Administrative Fee)
59-46 days: non-refundable deposit 35% of selling price
45-21 days: 50% of selling price
20-0 days: 100% of selling price
* Special conditions apply for canceling of tailor-made tour programs.
 
The following scale of charges will apply when cancellation is notified for tours that include a Cruise program:

If you have to withdraw from a tour after it has begun for reasons such as illness, be sure to obtain a medical certificate in support of any insurance claim. We are unable to make refunds for absences from a tour, including but not limited to missed meals or entrance tickets.
 
Flight/ferry/train/bus tickets are not included in the above cancellation policy. Once your program is confirmed and the tickets are purchased, any changes to the dates of the program will incur a change fee or in case of cancellation, (this is additional to the service fee), 100% cancellation fee for the tickets will be incurred regardless of the above cancellation policy. When and How I will receive my tour documents?
Travel documents and electronic flight tickets are usually sent 21 days prior to departure. However, you will receive tour vouchers, maps, ferry, bus or train tickets and other required information upon arrival in Greece. This will be included in a welcome package waiting for you upon arrival at your hotel.
